This event is FREE and accessible to all Masters (faculty), 工作人员, 同伴导师, 和银河管理员. Our mission is to share knowledge across the 澳门新葡京博彩区 and neighboring institutions about the importance of mentoring diverse communities.
Conference objectives: To enlighten the higher education on the myriad of ways mentoring cultivates success. To unveil the various dimensions where mentoring manifests.

主讲人:博士. Luis Ponjuan
Dr. Luis Ponjuan是一名终身教职员工, 研究员, and public policy scholar in the 大学 of 教育 and Human Development at Texas A&米大学. 他获得了博士学位.D. in 教育 (Higher 教育 Administration) with concentrations in advanced quantitative methods, 评价与考核, and organizational psychology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. His faculty career spans across two AAU SEC institutions, Texas A&M大学和佛罗里达大学. He is a bilingual speaker, Afro-Cuban immigrant, naturalized U.S. citizen, and first-generation college graduate.
Dr.Ponjuan has developed a research agenda focused on Collegiate men of color, 拉丁美洲/学生, students from low-income backgrounds and urban areas, historically underrepresented students in community colleges, STEM NSF-REU研究经验, and the professional development of faculty members of color.
Dr.Ponjuan has received national and state level recognition for his research on Latino/x collegiate men. 他是这本书的共同编辑和作者, “Ensuring the Success of Latino males in Higher 教育: A National Imperative”. 去年, he consulted with Madam Vice President Kamala Harris about the challenges facing men of color.
