Vice President of College Services

WarrenHurd350.jpgMr. Warren Hurd is the Vice President of College Services for Northeast Lakeview College. He provides strategic leadership and alignment in the areas of budget and financial services, information technology, institutional research, strategic planning and institutional effectiveness, facilities development and support, and other services.

Mr. Hurd has over 20 years of experience working in education, with 12 of the years in Higher Ed.  Prior to joining the NLC team, He served as the Executive Director of Administrative Services at Houston Community College District Office (HCC). In this role, he served as both the Financial and Administrative Officer for the systems Instructional Services Division.  He provided executive leadership and administrative oversight to all college-wide aspects of financial and business affairs, grants and contracts, purchasing, faculty needs analysis, instructional equipment purchases and software renewals, and internal auditing activities. He managed and oversaw the planning and development of the division’s $100 million annual budget.

He also served as the College Operations Officer (COO) at HCC’s Northeast College that served over 10,000 students per semester at multiple locations. In this role, he oversaw the college’s operations division of business affairs, finance and budget control, HR, IT, purchasing, safety and security, and facilities/campus management. He managed the college’s $26 million annual budget and oversaw the college’s $85 million CIP project.

Mr. Hurd has also worked in the K-12 education sector as a Business Manager with Houston ISD managing budgets and non-instructional operations. He has been an adjunct instructor with the University of Phoenix. In addition to his experience in the education sector, he also held administrative positions in the medical sector as a Hospital Administrator with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). He is a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Hurd received his Bachelor of Business Administration and his Master of Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University.
