The Associate of Applied Science Degree in 视力保健技术 will provide students with the skills needed to be successful in the field of Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders of the eye.

The 视力保健技术 program will prepare students to sit for the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) exam through the International Joint Commission on Allied 健康 Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO). COA是入门级的核心考试. The designation of a COA confirms an assistant’s knowledge in 19 specific content areas. It is required that all 视力保健技术计划 applicants follow the procedure below:
- Applicants who are not currently students of 程控, must go to "应用Texas.org"

- Must provide all official transcripts to admissions and records

- GPA保持在2分.0或更高
Unsuccessful completion of all items within the mandated time-frame will preclude the application and therefore the applicant will not be considered for admission review.
Meeting Criteria for selection does not guarantee admission to the program. Final selection will be based on the applicant pool and spA-Scansce available.
Ensure to submit official transcripts from all colleges attended. Please see application check list for additional information.

The Vision Care Program is currently accepting applications.
