Assessment 和 Testing

评估 & 测试中心 provides testing services, including test administration of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment for college placement 和 for TSI requirements, 大学-Level Examination Program (CLEP), General Educational Development (GED) testing, 和阿拉莫大学区 makeup/distance examinations (with instructor approval 和测试中心 acknowledgment).

Testing is by appointment only. Students are limited to one testing appointment per day; students taking TSI or CLEP must bring a valid photo ID 和 a printed copy of the payment receipt to the appointment. All testing fees are non-refundable.

Students who need help to make an appointment for distance/makeup tests should contact their instructor for arrangements. Due to the high seat dem和, students with appointments will have priority.

Texas Success Initiative (TSI)

Texas law requires students to complete assessments in reading, 写作, 和 mathematics before enrolling in college. The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) m和ates that any new undergraduate student entering a public institution must be assessed for readiness to enroll in college coursework.

帕洛阿尔托大学 is designated as an Authorized Pearson Vue Test Center for administering the General Educational Development Computer Based Test (GED-CBT) under the guidelines of the 格测试ing Services 和 Texas Education Agency (TEA). Only authorized testing centers may administer tests under TEC 7.11及TAC 89.41-47.

CLEP测试

The 大学-Level Examination Program (CLEP) through 大学 Board is a computer-based test that provides an opportunity for students to obtain college credit courses in areas in which they may have attained college-level proficiency.

Registration 和 Fees

To Register for the CLEP Test:

Complete CLEP registration by creating a 大学 Board Account

Pay the $93 大学 Board CLEP Fee.
Print your Registration Receipt.
Schedule your appointment with the PAC Test Center by calling 210-486-3444
$20 PAC CLEP Fee is due on the day of the test.
