社区勤工俭学 (CWS) Prospective Partners

The 澳门新葡京博彩区 partners with 501(c)3 non-profit and governmental agencies, 还有公立学区, to provide eligible work-study students with opportunities to work in a real-world environment, ideally in positions that align with the student’s field of study. Eligible students work with a partnering agency with 100% of the student wages paid by 阿拉莫大学 through federal financial aid funding.

Partnering agencies determine (1) the position(s) offered, (2) the number of positions they want to fill, (3) whether they want to supplement the hourly pay rate (minimum $14.37), and (4) the number of hours a student will work per week (between 10 and 19).

Employers commit to a student’s employment per semester and may rehire the student for subsequent semesters, or may hire a new student each semester. Employers are required to accommodate students’ academic schedules and activities.

• Attend a CWS Prospective Partner Briefing
• Complete a Partner Agreement; 提交 copy of 501(c)3 letter 
• Post position(s) on the 阿拉莫大学 work-study job bank
• Receive and consider student resumes
• Interview candidates; Make job offers
• After hiring a student, pay per semester, 100% of any supplemental pay the employer has offered
• 提交 student work-study time sheets in a timely manner

阿拉莫大学:

• Promotes available positions to eligible students
• Refers students for employment consideration
• Conducts basic criminal background checks
• Manages HR matters and issues payroll
• Funds 100% of student minimum wage through federal financial aid funds
